TPP's first ever SystmOne National User Meetings were a great success,
changing our users' perception of us and cementing our belief that we need
to continue exploring ways to engage with them.
Over 150 users travelled from across the UK to take up TPP's invitation to
attend the first ever SystmOne National User Meetings. They came for a range
of reasons - to see the nerve centre of SystmOne, to learn more about the
system, to meet the directors, to meet the people they've spoken to over
the phone, and to have their problems discussed and their voices listened
to. Those voices were almost unanimous in saying that what they encountered
at TPP was not what they had expected.
Many of our guests arrived at Mill House, Horsforth, expecting to be confronted
with a superficial, impersonal corporation and expressed surprise when what they
found was a young, friendly team working in a productive and constructive atmosphere.
Director of Sales and Training, Sue Sanders, who masterminded the user meetings
alongside Clinical Director, Dr John Parry, says, "I hoped that we would give
our users a new opinion of our company and give them confidence that we listen
to and care about them. I felt that seeing our office, meeting the staff and
directors and being able to chat to us in an informal atmosphere would help to
achieve a much better relationship."
Users gave the meetings an average 'usefulness' rating of four out of five, which
delighted Sue Sanders. "All three days exceeded my expectations! I am so pleased
with the way every aspect of the days turned out and am extremely grateful for
the hard work that Customer Relationships Manager Sue Bonham and her team put
into the organisation of the whole event. We couldn’t have done it without
them. The attendees enjoyed the experience and will hopefully take back a good
message to their own staff and to other local practices and units."
By the end of the three days, it was clear that what our users value most is
being kept up-to-date with what's going on at TPP and being listened to when
they have problems or suggestions. In response to this feedback, TPP have made
a commitment to introduce more channels of communication, including regular newsletters
and further user meetings and master classes.
