Workshops Feed User Suggestions into SystmOne

SystmOne evolves faster than any other clinical system on the market, and key to its development is user input. This spring, 70 SystmOne users attended workshops held at TPP's headquarters to discuss development of key areas of SystmOne: dispensing, scanning and consultations.

"The purpose of holding the workshops was to find out how the people who use SystmOne on a day-to-day basis would like to see it developed," says Customer Relationship Manager, Ben Ryan. "SystmOne's users know what they need from their clinical system, so it makes sense that they should have the opportunity to feed into the development process."

The workshops were attended by representatives from TPP's Business Management, Customer Relationship Management, and Software Engineering teams, as well as company directors.

"At the end of each workshop, our software engineers went away with a list of developments, the majority of which are scheduled to be included in software releases over the coming months," says Ben. "The list of suggested changes was then posted on SystmOne to give all users the opportunity to review the suggestions and provide their own feedback."

The results of the dispensing workshop, which took place in February, have already been reflected in SystmOne, with a large number of dispensing developments being released in March and April's software releases.

Stephen Brown, Practice and Business Manager from Leyburn Medical Practice attended the dispensing workshop and says, "I was particularly impressed at the way in which the team were enthusiastically and genuinely committed to resolving the problems raised. It was also good to meet with other users of the system and to learn from their experiences."

"The comments we've had about the workshops and about the suggestions raised have all been very positive," says Ben. "We'd like to thank all users who travelled to Leeds to attend the workshops, and hope that they gave the attendees an insight into the development process at TPP."
