SystmOne Used for Largest Ever National Diabetes Audit
The NHS Information Centre for health and social care has revealed that participation figures for the sixth National Diabetes Audit (NDA) have been the highest since the audit began in 2003 – ensuring the NDA remains the largest clinical audit in the world. The 2008/2009 NDA will now provide information and analysis on more than 1.7 million people with diabetes in England and Wales. The participation numbers from all areas is testament to increasing recognition of the value the NDA provides.
Primary care participation stands at over 6000 practices in England and Wales.
On its website, the Information Centre says, "The NDA would like to thank all those who have worked tirelessly to achieve the unprecedented levels of participation. In addition, it is also the first year SystmOne have supplied an extract from primary care comprising data from over 1000 practices. The NDA team would like to thank all those involved in supporting the audit at SystmOne."
