End of 2009 - we're gaining on Google!
Looking at the SystmOne database in October of 2009, we uncovered some very interesting statistics.
SystmOne's users do over 30 million 'transactions' a day. That means, that on average, every second, they do over 347 'somethings' on SystmOne, whether it's searching for a patient, running a report, or booking an appointment.
The global internet search engine, Google, published figures in March this year revealing that 293 million Google searches are performed per day.
Putting those two stats together, you can see that SystmOne users in England are about a tenth as busy as users of the giant Google worldwide! So, if anyone ever says that clinicians in this country are not working hard, we now have the stats to prove otherwise!
Josh O'Neill, TPP Director and member of TPP's Technical Team says, "Google is a world-class product and we've got a lot of respect for it. To think that we're edging into the same league as it is pretty amazing."
As the number of SystmOne users and modules increases, TPP's Tech Team works tirelessly to increase the capacity of the SystmOne environment. We estimate that we'll reach 100 million SystmOne transactions a day in around three years… maybe just in time for the London Olympics! Let's hope we can celebrate that along with a boat-load of British golds!
